About Me

Updated: 3/3/2018

My name is Lacey and I am an International Educator and Tourism Professional.

I have always been an independent soul, but my passion for international travel really began as a college sophomore, when I visited England and France on a summer holiday. If only I had known then the significance of that trip and how it would shape my subsequent personal and professional pursuits. Since then, more than 20 years later, I’ve lived, worked and studied in the UK and travelled to 30+ countries. I have worked in international education at two local universities, and throughout the world as an international tour director. Both of these experiences have enhanced my understanding of the world, and further inspired my desire to travel.

My relationship with travel has changed since I first started this blog. I find myself looking back at a time when travel was engrained in my life, either because I lived abroad or worked abroad. It was my life. Now, I travel to give transformational experiences to others, most especially my daughter. Travelacey, keeps me connected to the wanderlust that will always be a part of me.

  1. Hi Lacey! Great finding your site! I saw that you lived for some time in the UK. You spent much more time there than I did, but I also went to Europe for study abroad during undergrad, then more recently I lived in Brighton doing my Master’s! Looking forward to reading more for you 🙂 -Victoria

    • Thank you Victoria! I’m new to this whole travel blog thing, so the site is definitely still a work in progress…It’s always nice to meet a fellow American who spent time studying in England and Brighton is a lovely place! I look forward to following your travel adventures as well 🙂 -Lacey
